:: Professional Fees ::
My fee for a fifty minute session is $165.00. In addition to weekly appointments, it is my practice to charge this amount on a prorated basis for other professional services you may require. A sliding scale fee arrangement may be possible based upon your financial situation and the availability of reduced fee openings in my practice.
:: Insurance Reimbursement ::
If you have a health insurance policy, it will usually provide some coverage for mental health treatment. I will provide you with whatever assistance I can in facilitating your receipt of the benefits to which you are entitled, including filling out forms as appropriate. However, you, and not your insurance company, are responsible for the full payment of the fee to which we have agreed.
:: Managed Care Plans ::
Managed Health Care Plans such as HMOs and PPOs manage the mental health benefits for insurance companies. These plans often require advance authorization before they will provide reimbursement for mental health services. These plans are often oriented towards a short-term treatment approach designed to resolve specific problems that are interfering with your usual level of functioning. In these cases, I would submit the bill to the managed care company and you would be responsible for the co-payment. I am currently an in-network provider for the following Managed Care Plans: Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Magellan, Managed Health Network (MHN), PacifiCare, Value Options (pending), Victim Services Compensation.
